See, the real crazy is how long this post has taken to come together.
After the word quiet of last year I fully intended this year to be a dual ‘POW’ of words and images.
BIFF
BOFF
BAM
BOOOOOOOOOM
Sentences that’d rattle your very teeth and innervate your inner ‘hell, yeah!’
And St Ives.
Where better to re-explore the wordy than St Ives?
I love this place and this post – these photos – are, crazily, the first time in all of the St Ives posts I’ve done, are of my very ever first non-working visit. That’s right! I got to actually play all day.
We saw a seal (and, yes, Archie and I had an over-excited ‘I saw a seal’ weep-hug. Honestly, you can’t take us anywhere without significant fear of embarrassment.)
We ate (by golly gosh, did we eat!) at The Rum and Crab Shack (my new spiritual home, in case you find an odd and irresistable urge to send us shack-y food vouchers)
St Ives is genuinely one of my favourites places on Earth. I have often speculated that if our weather here wasn’t so pants and unpredictable that home, here, well – why would you ever want to go any where else on earth?
It’s beautiful. It’s interesting. The food – oh, good God, don’t get me started on the food. Cornwall has recently been cited as one of the top ten foodie destinations in Europe. We are restaurant fantastic and utterly spoiled for raw ingredients.
And the treat of standing on the harbour wall and watching the evening catch come in?
Well, that’s just something else.
Okay, people, brace yourselves for *THAT* blue.
What a wonderful location, lovely set of images.
LOVE your editing, it really works with the beach scene, such a beautiful shoot
Amazing! I love these. Reminds me of my trips there.
Cool photos, I love photographing in st Ives
