…come with me and we will run across the sky and illuminate the night…
To London, then, for Matt and Max’s very musical wedding at, appropriately, Wilton’s Music Hall.
The boys are huge lovers of musical theatre and, accordingly, it featured significantly throughout the day.
Long (long long long long) editing sessions give me ample time for reflection and general navel-gazing and today I was struck once again how in order for the magic to happen (the pretty pictures, I mean) you have to be a little in love with your couples and their story. I’m incredibly lucky with the people I work with in that this is very rarely hard. We are joined by a visual aesthetic, in fact a love of the arts in general, and all tend to be laid back, open people (except in the mornings when I can NEVER find my car keys and my children are nearly always late for school. Then I’m just the teeny tiniest bit not-laid-back. Difficult to imagine, I know).
The wedding came two days after the 50th anniversary of the UK government decriminalising gay relationships – a move I think we can all drink to.
And so, with a song in our hearts and a gaunty skip in our step, to the images.
Lucy xx
