Some weddings are made for summer just as – conversely, maybe perversely – some summers are made for weddings.

And what a summer it has been. Golden with honeyed light and warm airs that embrace like a just-right cardigan. Definitely a summer of sleeping with the toes out from under the sheets braving all kinds of midnight dreaming monsters.

A Midnight’s Dream – yes – that’s what Lucie and Michael’s wedding was. Calm, gentle, decked in so many flowers. A day for old friends and new. A day for love. And – my word! – most certainly a night for dancing
