Wild Wedding at Lower House Farm – E & J

WILD BY NATURE WEDDING AT LOWER HOUSE FARM

Today’s wedding photography adventure takes us to a Wild Wedding by Wild by Nature Weddings at Lower House Farm in the Welsh Borders of Herefordshire.

Eleanor and James married under an ancient spreading oak and in front of their family and friends as a gentle rain fell.
The location was perfect being, as it is, a green and still space where England and Wales meet at the foot of the Black Mountains in the Olchon Valley.

Keen climbers and hikers (our pre-wedding session involved a 10km yomp across my native Dartmoor), they handfasted by tying a knot using a number, naturally, of mountain climbing ropes.

The very lovely humanist ceremony was led by celebrant Jenny Ashley and fortified with readings by friends.

Then food – the most epic of food, ingredients from the venue itself, a regenerative farm – drink and dancing.

Earthily and mossily organic, it was a beautifully understated day. Flowers were in abundance with the aisle lined with ferns and foxglove. (Foxglove is ‘ffion’ in Welsh. And you thought you’d get away without learning anything).
