Lost Music Room at Great Ambrook wedding photography – a post about Amy and Jasper and their day.
I love this venue. There are two or three venues I’m potty about and this is one of them.
It feels like home though, clearly, it isn’t. And not a home like my home. A nice space that allows you to breathe and to be still. It’s a space that feels designed for reading books, for hot afternoon drowsing. For allowing yourself to very simply and calmly be.
Which makes it perhaps odd that it lends itself so extraordinarily well to being a wedding venue. Yet is does. Maybe it’s very much about that sense of peace, that there’s quietude to be had in the hustle and bustle and down-right chaos of a wedding day
It’s an extraordinary flexible and charming space.
Amy wore two dresses and I’m utterly thrilled that she did. These she paired with powder blue shoes and baroque pearls (another fave of mine). Jasper opted for the perfect black tie from Clifton Suits. Everything conspired to allow me to lean into editorial more than I usually would and – honestly – I had an absolute BLAST. Naturally, I made space for my more usual mood driven imagery but the light that day was begging for a very slightly different approach.
