It’s because of the light.
All of what I do – every frame I create – is all about the light.
And she’s a fickle fickle thing.
She’s inconstant. Tricky. But oh so beautiful.
When I was a wee small thing I wanted to be a travel writer and photographer. I hoarded old copies of National Geographic and pored over them by torchlight in my bed.
And that never entirely left me.
I still crave it.
I can’t find a way to articulate the need I have to explore and – most importantly – record it.
I have a deep need for the smells and the sounds and the taste of the air.
To run my fingers along old walls.
To stand with my toes in the water and heels on the sands of a new shore.
Destination weddings for me are beyond a treat.
They’re a celebration of colour and texture and how another sun can make everything so different.
