Viv and Dirk

And so back to Austria today for what is going to quite possibly be the last moody and murky post of the season and I’m not entirely sure how I feel about that. The winter feels like something of a blanket in which to snuggle (and possibly eat biscuits).

Gone, for today, are the bright blue skies of my previous Austrian wedding. Instead we have a rather chilly rain and low clouds that nearly obsure the snowy Tyrolean mountians.

Today’s wonderous wedding adventure takes us from the Hotel Elisabeth to the tiny parish church of Kirchberg in Tirol by horse drawn carriages and ultimately back again.

As I was second shooting, I was with the boys in the morning as opposed to the girls.

It’s a funny thing, second shooting. Normally by the time the wedding rolls around I know the couple really quite well and the morning is spent chatting and drinking tea (SO much tea!) but when I’m working for someone else the whole process is, naturally, really rather different and I find myself in rather close and intimate proximity to a bunch of blokes wandering about in their pants. This time, the strange sense of distance was heightened by the fact that everyone else was Dutch so that sense of being in a bubble was much heightened by a considerable language barrier.
