Stourhead temple wedding photography
…
Before we crack on with Lucy and Will’s Stourhead temple wedding photography – an update from MGH Towers.
I haven’t blogged in forever.
Hell, I feel like I haven’t picked up a camera in forever.
It’s certainly being a trying year and, if I’m candid, it’s rather difficult to keep the jolly ole energies up.
So far this year I’ve shot two weddings, two editorials and one pre-wed session. In a few weeks I’m (hopefully) off to Austrian mountains to play with Cat (not cats) from Wild Connections Photography, and I have a few more editorials pencilled in. I’m filling my time by killing my office plants (how am I so bad with them? It’s properly mind-boggling), learning to sail (am now a proud owner of a rather elderly but delightful Wayfarer dinghy. Boaty adventures here we come!) running around with a sword in Skyrim/Witcher/GreedFall, and signing up for eleventy billion online art courses none of which have I managed to actually start.
Such a changable year hasn’t been easy on anybody and the wedding industry is no exception. And it’s not just us **this** side of things that are feeling it. It’s all been a proper mind-maze for couples, too.
Lucy and Will, then. And their much pared-up back ‘do’. To Wiltshire we go for a small but lovely ceremony in the Pantheon in Stourhead Gardens (Gods, I love me a good ole temple) followed by fizz on the lawn overlooking the lake. Pocket-sized weddingy perfection. Full of Jane Austeny goodness, it was genuinely a real treat to get to photograph a wedding here. It’s a place have visited often
