Anna and Tim – Lizard Point wedding photographer

LIZARD POINT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

I really don’t blog enough. I changed my delivery system which meant I didn’t HAVE to blog (or, at least, blog promptly) so it’s a job – (and it is a job. These things take pretty much a full working day) that I leave until later. And we all know how those jobs go. Which is how I find myself having blogged maybe 4 times in the last 2 years. Which is a shame as I’ve shot some incredible weddings chock full of inspo and ideas. Part of the difficulty of blogging is trying to create something I’m happy with aesthetically whilst also feeding the SEO dragon (because without doing the latter it’s kinda a pointless endeavour – just me screaming onto the void). There’s only so many times you can sprinkle ‘Lizard Point wedding photographer’ into a body of text without losing any semblance of integrity at all.

And it all boils back to the same thing. That whole being authentic  (bit of a Catch-22 there. The word ‘authentic’ feels so horribly overused that in itself it feels inauthentic. I digress) and speaking your truth (again, somewhat limited application against the grand landscape of what it is I actually do) but also being effective. Accessible. Sensible in the Austen way of the word.

My blog then could be considered an old world map. Photos become continents and exciting landmasses. And the words? They are, in so many ways, those fat cheeked clouds, blowing thoughts and dreams all over the place. Whilst remembering ‘here be DRAGONS’.

Today we’re off down to the proper pointy end of the land for Anna and Tim’s Anglo-Australian marquee wedding.

And what a stonker it was. Morning preps at the family home, and at a nearby hotel for the boys.

A clifftop walk to the quiet village church. A Cornish marching band. Two dresses: one was Anna’s Mum’s own wedding dress and for the dancing? One with all the sparkles.

Dancing. So much love and laughter. Rolling hills and the wide blue expanse of the Atlantic.
