We’re off to Dorset for E & M’s Bryanston School wedding.
It’s somewhere I’ve wanted to cover a wedding in an absolute AGE so was delighted when I was asked to associate shoot for the day by Ellen J. This is 100% why I don’t have a list of suppliers to tag, so we’ll just have to rumble along without.
Bryanston is a public school on the edge of Wimborne in Dorset. Whilst I did go to boarding school mine was absolutely nothing like as grand.
Maybe it was the weather, but in the heat it had a wonderfully vintage feel, very much as if time had stopped. The wedding breakfast was held in the library (my school library, as an aside, was hands down my favourite place at school. Possibly because no-one else ever seemed to go, and I could tuck myself onto a window seat, baking in the sun that came through the sash windows, book forgotten in my hand).
The grounds are fantastic, too, with lawn tennis courts and an ornamental pond. And oodles of fantastic sweeping stairs for wafting up and down.
Speaking of wafting, it made a really welcome change to see white feathers used as confetti, and they added to the very stylish monochromatic tone of the whole day.
I will always be a fan of big blousy hydrangea heads.
Perfection.
