Tuscany wedding photography – Hans and Sabine

TUSCANY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

We’re off today to the outskirts of Siena for some Tuscany wedding photography

I first fell in love – head over heels, unconditionally, irrovocably – with Italy when I watched Room with a View as a teenager. A deep rooted desire that was fuelled by The English Patient, and by Brannagh’s Much Ado About Nothing.

It would be twenty years before I set foot there, and even longer before I finally visited the core object of my infatuation – Tuscany.

And how I’d yearned for it. The gloriously sticky golden light. That heat that made everything seem to hang heavily – breathlessly – expectly.

The gently rolling hills that paled into forever as they kissed the horizon.

The food. The wine. The ancient cities of baked earth. The rough reds of brick and lanes polished by millennia of feet.

There’s a definite opulence to Tuscany but one that’s oddly organic. The purples of the grapes, the ochres and siennas of the towns. The rippling greens of those fields.

Today’s wedding treat  is the marriage of the lovely Hans and Sabine at the Fattoria di Corsignano (home to some fantastic Chianti), on the oustkirts of Siena in Tuscany, with a ceremony on the edge of the vineyards with rolling views toward to city.

I’ll always be a sucker for a Rue de Seine dress and Sabine’s paired brilliantly with Hans’ Michael and Giso suit. Add to that some utterly gorgeous flowers by Silvia Merli and brilliant styling by Il Matrimonio Italiano with the long snaking dining table under a shimmering tunnel of lights and you’re not too far off perfection.
